Join us on Wednesday, May 9th, 6:30pm at the Hamiltonian Gallery for our next Professional Development Speaker Series (PDSS) program: From Emerging Artist to Self-Employed Practitioner: Artist talks and business tips.
Baltimore/DC based public artists Graham Coreil-Allen and Becky Borlan are creatively engaging audiences through colorful, participatory outdoor art installations and events. Learn about how Coreil-Allen and Borlan went from emerging artists to self-employed, public art business owners. The presentations will highlight Borlan's vibrant and interactive environments and Coreil-Allen's installations for pedestrian safety and play and socially engaged New Public Sites walking tours. The public artist will share their business models, tips for self-employment, and project management best practices. In addition, Coreil-Allen and Borlan discuss strategies for leveraging funding and partnerships outside of the art world to realize innovative public art projects.
Hamiltonian Artists would like to thank Graham Coreil-Allen and Becky Borlan and everyone who attended the From Emerging Artist to Self-Employed Practitioner: Artist talks and business tips.
